SESSION 11 – Intelligence, Investigation & Forensic Science in CBRNe Scenarios
This session focuses on the intersection of intelligence analysis, field investigation, and forensic science within CBRNe events. From early detection to attribution, forensic integrity and data reliability are essential for operational response and legal accountability.
We welcome contributions on crime scene management, evidence collection in contaminated environments, and the preservation of chain-of-custody during transport to accredited or designated laboratories. Studies involving bioforensics, nuclear and chemical forensics, and the integration of AI-driven data analysis for pattern recognition, trace detection, and attribution are particularly relevant.
Papers discussing Disaster Victim Identification (DVI), forensic pathology, and inter-agency coordination are encouraged, alongside perspectives on legal admissibility and international dispute resolution. This session aims to harmonize operational, scientific, and judicial practices in CBRNe investigation, ensuring that forensic outcomes are defensible, interoperable, and globally recognized.
