As part of the Conference, an advanced operational training initiative entitled SICC Series Operational CBRNe School will be organised with the objective of strengthening practical knowledge, technical awareness, and operational familiarity with modern CBRNe technologies, equipment, and response procedures.
The School will be developed in close cooperation with selected companies, industries, and technological partners participating as exhibitors and sponsors of the conference, creating a direct interaction between operational end-users, researchers, institutions, first responders, healthcare professionals, civil protection personnel, and industrial stakeholders.
The initiative will be structured into two complementary training days combining operational lectures, technology demonstrations, and intensive hands-on activities.
The first training session will take place at the National Fire Academy during the conference week and will focus on the operational presentation of advanced CBRNe technologies, equipment, instruments, and response systems.
Participating companies and technological partners will deliver highly practical and operationally oriented lectures supported by live demonstrations, technical presentations, case studies, and real-world application scenarios.
The activities will focus on:
The educational approach will privilege operational applicability, field experience, interoperability, and practical implementation rather than purely theoretical presentations.
The second training day will consist of a fully immersive hands-on operational laboratory programme hosted at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
Participating companies will be assigned dedicated classrooms and practical laboratory spaces where attendees, divided into rotating operational groups, will directly interact with instruments, technologies, protective systems, and specialised equipment.
Each group will rotate through the various laboratories approximately every 90 minutes, participating in practical sessions including:
The objective of the School is to provide participants with direct operational experience and practical familiarity with technologies currently adopted in CBRNe preparedness, prevention, response, mitigation, and recovery activities.
The SICC Series Operational CBRNe School aims to strengthen interaction between industry, operational agencies, academia, healthcare systems, and institutional stakeholders while promoting advanced training, technological innovation, and operational readiness within complex CBRNe scenarios.
Further details regarding the programme, participating companies, operational activities, registration procedures, and attendance modalities for the SICC Series Operational CBRNe School will be officially released in June 2026.
