Poster Sessions

Poster Sessions – SICC Series CBRNe Conference 2026

The Poster Sessions at the SICC Series – CBRNe Conference 2026 will span all twelve thematic areas of the conference — from emergency and crisis management, geopolitics, AI, cybersecurity, and training, through to medical and biosafety, modelling, radiological & nuclear safety, chemical & explosive threats, biological & biotech risks, intelligence & forensics, and emerging climate/conflict/food-security risks.

These poster presentations provide a dynamic platform for researchers, industry professionals, and practitioners to showcase work in progress, novel tools or technologies, case-studies, field operations, or conceptual frameworks — across the full spectrum of CBRNe safety and security.

Unlike oral talks, posters allow direct, one-on-one engagement: you stand by your poster, invite questions, exchange ideas, receive feedback, and make new connections in an informal yet highly interactive environment. This makes the format especially valuable for early-career researchers and young professionals, offering a low-threshold but high-visibility opportunity to present their work, build confidence, test ideas, and engage with the global CBRNe community.

Every accepted poster will be displayed during dedicated poster blocks throughout the conference, with authors present to discuss and network. A highlight of the session will be the Best Poster Award, recognising outstanding contributions in scientific merit, innovation, clarity of presentation, and potential impact. Whether your work is technical, analytical, operational, or educational, we encourage you to participate — your poster might spark new collaborations, feedback, or even future projects.

How do poster sessions work?

During each poster session, conference participants are free to move throughout the poster area, explore the contributions on display, and engage in direct discussions with the authors.

Presenters are expected to remain at their poster for the full duration of the session, allowing attendees to learn more about the work, ask questions, and exchange insights in an informal and highly interactive setting.

How long are the poster sessions?

The two poster sessions of the SICC Series CBRNe Conference 2026 each have a duration of 90 minutes.

What are the benefits of a poster session?

Presenting a poster is an excellent opportunity to:

• Showcase research results, projects, or operational experiences

• Receive direct feedback from experts in the field

• Network with researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers

• Increase the visibility of your work within the international CBRNe community

Poster sessions are widely recognized as one of the most effective formats for scientific exchange and professional networking.

Publication opportunities

After the conference, Poster Session presenters, as well as Plenary and Technical Session speakers, will be invited to submit a full paper for publication in one of the Special Issues associated with the SICC Series CBRNe Conference 2026.

Write and submit your abstract

To participate in the poster sessions, authors must prepare and submit an abstract summarizing their work, in accordance with the published guidelines and deadlines.
